4th Annual Los Angeles Archives Bazaar at USC
Southern California history comes alive in exhibits by 60 local historical collections and archives. Browse rare collections, consult with experts, and learn about L.A. history, family genealogy, and much more. The annual bazaar also features educational programs, discussions about history with local authors, and documentary films about the hidden stories of L.A.'s diverse communities. Constitution Day Observance
Federal legislation and a Presidential Proclamation in May, 2005 require that schools hold educational programs and activities in observance of Constitution Day during the two-week window surrounding September 17 each year. Each school will be required to certify that activities to observe Constitution Day were held during this specified window of time.
Attached is Memorandum 4860.0 to assist you in planning activities to observe Constitution Day. Please complete the observance checklist (Attachment A) and send it to the person designated to handle History/Social Science in your respective Local District Office no later than October 2, 2009.

Constitution Day Conference 2009
The 5th Annual Constitution Day Conference will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel in Pasadena located at 168 South Los Robles Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.
History Day 2010
The 30th Annual History Day L.A. will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Azuza Pacific University, located at 701 East Foothill Boulevard, Azuza, CA 91702-7000. The theme for 2010 is "Innovation in History: Impact and Change." Please see the attached Bulletin for additional information.
